In the 10 years we have lived on the Pacific NW coast it is the first time we have not seen any rain since the 21st of July! Cooler temperatures also played havoc with our planting this year. You have a very wide variety of plants Tania and ex-RAF hubby says he is quite jealous of your citrus! Leeks? Really? We cannot even find the seeds!
Thanks for sharing and happy gardening!Noelle the dreamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07805639450753772211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-743532158600929042.post-38494099369082025672012-09-27T01:08:56.060+09:302012-09-27T01:08:56.060+09:30Wow...you have a fabulous garden!!! I would love to be able to have a garden like yours but we simply do not receive enough sunlight to grow anything much in the way of vegetables. I do have some lettuce planted but they are slow to grow because it isn't warm enough yet.
I'm looking forward to more posts in the future showing us your bounty. I have started planting out summery things very tentatively but still have plenty of winter growing vegies coming on- broccoli, cauliflower, peas, snow peas, broad beans, chard and turnips. I don't really grow any head forming lettuce now, just the leafy ones which you can just harvest as you need it. I'll send you some seeds if you like, just let me know.
Thanks for showing us around your garden.
tracyTracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09185599118466320327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-743532158600929042.post-1312116077084483282012-09-26T15:48:48.865+09:302012-09-26T15:48:48.865+09:30wow, very impressive! wow, very impressive! We have such a short growing season here in Alberta Canada. The poor little tomatoes do not even have time to ripen red on the vine before the frost sets in. Right now I have mine in a box covered with newspaper in a warm spot inside the house, hoping and praying they get red!Delenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05267264823175290041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-743532158600929042.post-39985938765758597282012-09-26T11:50:25.706+09:302012-09-26T11:50:25.706+09:30Hi Tania,
