Friday 43C (109.4F)

Nice hot start to the New Year...
It was nice down at the beach first thing this morning...
Having a paddle around...
It was the first time for me...
I am not a good swimmer, which is hard to believe when living in Australia with all our beautiful beaches...
Hubby has mastered kayaking,
Even reverse gear lol!
Show-off...
Looking back to the shore...
The water was beautiful...
some sailing boats passing by...
A boat returning from a fishing expedition. They have probably been out catching blue swimmer crabs that are plentiful this time of year. Hubby is going out doing just that early tomorrow morning. A friend offered to take him out in his boat.
I may even go too, we will see :)
I do have some Christmas photos to post soon, and garden ones too. I had better get a move on, otherwise it will be Christmas again before I know it!
What weather are you experiencing where you live?
See you all soon,
xTania
The water looks beautiful...the kids are out the back in the blow up pool...its large enough for them to spash around and lie down in...keeps them cool and happy.....not looking forward to next weeks hot days.. :( but thats Summer , I know....enjoy that water...we may head down the beach this evening..x
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks nice! Our weather is somewhat different in the fact that we've had nothing but rain for ages now. The water table is so high a foot print leaves a puddle! Glad you had a nicwe christmas
ReplyDeleteHot here this week too. I'm swimming in the dam and taking things easy. That kayak looks like it could be fun, good for the gut muscles I bet.
ReplyDeleteBarb.
Also not a good swimmer here! Despite living close to the beach almost all my life! Happy New Year! x
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I miss about our last house - being able to paddle off the front lawn when the tide was right.
ReplyDeleteHot (for us somewhere in the 20's) and muggy with the odd thunderstorm. I don't do heat much unless it is the dry sort (grew up in a desert area).

7 am here in New York and it snowed yesterday now it is 29 F and with the wind chill it feels like 17 F. The beach pictures look inviting.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that looks just lovely!!! How I wish we had beaches like that and weather like that. Right now I am looking at nothing but snow, ice, wind and cold weather!
ReplyDeleteEek! We're expecting 39 degrees on Friday. One day of it will be quite enough for me. I think I would submerge in that lovely water and stay there until the heatwave was over.
ReplyDeleteWow, isn't the water calm? Is it often like this Tania?
ReplyDeleteflipping cold and snowy, but that's normal for us this time of the year. Though it's hot for you guys isn't it?

Dear Tania...just wanted to come by and say thank you for welcoming me to the Down to Earth forum. I thought that I would share with you our weather ... in Kansas in the USA ... cold and we have snow in our forecast for tonight and tomorrow ... much different than what you are enjoying. I also left a comment on one of your first posts about Millie! Happy New Year! Simple Blessings ♥ Teri
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Good for you going out for your first time :) I'm glad you enjoyed it!!!
