Out Back

Sara Storer - Back Out Back

One of my favourite Aussie songs J

Out Back

It is bonfire time...

And then time for a stroll around the block...

Looking towards our neighbours...

Looking back...

The bottom entrance to our block...
The road goes in, around and back out.

The neighbours behind us...

I found some teeny tiny everlasting flowers...

Cant say I have noticed these growing here before,
must be all the rain we have been having. They look so delicate...

 My old friend came too...

We have some junky stuff out back,
some is ours, some is not J

Lots of green around...

Apparently someone has a liking for our chook eggs?

Kangaroo tracks...

We're nearly all the way round...

Hubby's wrecks...

The grass has been mowed...
hopefully this will deter snakes that will be on the move now the weather is warming up...

More mini wild flowers...

Some button ones...

Tiny daisies...

Pretty pig face growing among the wood pile...

Geraldton wax flowers...

Wattles...

Wild peaches (quandongs/bush tucker).

Happy daisies in the garden...

We found this egg on the ground while out walking the other day...
Not sure who owns it?

The temperature is rising.  Spring is coming at last!

The first week of Spring is looking to be very warm.
It was 27C (80.6F) yesterday, up to 33C (91.4F) on the weekend and then 34C (93.2F) by Tuesday!

Maybe it's time to dust those kayaks off again J

See you soon with another garden post J

  1. Nice tour, I liked the junky part, you have to have a junk pile(s) to use for various projects. We use bird netting around places that we don't want snakes, I found out that when it is put on the ground, snakes get trapped in it, their scales grab it and lock tight. It is supposed to be in trees but I use it around the chickens now. Where are you going to float your boats, didn't see any water? I know you guys are counting down to spring!

  2. Tania, I am so pleased someone else's husband has car wrecks in the yard. I have harped and harped about getting rid of them.

Yes, I was thinking today that it is time to watch out for Joe Blakes as my dad used to call snakes when we were kids!

  4. It looks like a different world from where I live, but home is home to every soul. I like the flowers and the wide-open sky.

  6. Here Autumn is announcing itself and you are soon entering Spring season!
I have never seen a wild peach (bush tucker?) before, very interesting Tania!
    Wishing you all the best,

  7. I like your place. You can see a long way from your land. Mine is so covered up with trees, and the mountains are so close, that I am hemmed in by the forest. I have some decent views but only in a few places.

I don't have any wrecked cars, but my shop is crammed with bits and pieces that I might "need some day." I think that type of thing is part of the masculine mind set.

  8. I had never heard of her, and when I tried to get the song to play I couldn't make it work. So I did a search for the singer and found a youtube I could get to play. I liked that song, it reminded me of some of our good country western singers.

  9. Tania, just letting you know that I just heard from Kelly about the termite problem you asked about and have put her reply in the comment section on my blog. Hope it helps.
