Gawler Ranges and Googs track Pt3

Sturt's desert pea in it's natural environment

Just couldn't resist this early morning photo shoot.

The "Love Shack!"

Kangaroos in the early morning light...

Old stock yards seemed to be still used...
So primitive and rustic...
Station homestead...

Skull tanks...

Gorgeous everlastings with their faces toward the sun...

Looking a lot like a fried egg...
Just so we know where we are.... and where we are going...

Long dry dusty roads...

More everlastings...

Lonely little daisy...

Flowering wild scrub...

Old "Tarcoola"
Some more dainty daisies...

After a little detour (or was that lost) we finally got to our destination.

After a long day we arrive at the beginning of Goog's track where we camped another night, this time it wasn't so cold and we slept on our swags in the back of our 4WD. A lot more comfortable than on the ground.

Have a great day,

xTania

  2. Gee Tania, a real outback adventure. We are setting up a 4WD for camping so we can go on little adventures like this too. Not sure how I will like roughing it though. I tend to want to take the kitchen sink....

  5. We did from Port Augusta up the middle of Oz to Three Ways and back down outback Queensland back in 06. Your photos look like similar territory.

  7. I love a good aerial. I have one, but it is fake because I don't use it. I should learn, like lots of other things.

  8. Hi Tania! I haven't been around much with having so much going on. I have just been reading what and where you have been upto and your photos are lovely and I really love seeing parts of our land that I probably will never get to see, especially the wild flowers.

To be able to get out there in the real outback and camp would be breath taking. Good on ya!

    take care
