Tonight's sunset is well and truly indicating another hot day tomorrow.
Today's temperature reached 46C ( 114.1F).
It was the hottest November day ever recorded.
Very hot weather is not unusual for here but never like this in November.
January, February and March are the months for heat.
Tomorrow is expected to be 47C (116.6F).
Another dangerous day tomorrow, here's hoping everyone gets through the day safely, as there is supposed to be lightening strikes later in the day.
And we had our first visit from a Brown Snake today, like everyone else he was probably looking for a cool spot.
It has been awful. I am seriously thinking of keeping all the children home tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWow, try and stay cool and stay safe! Make sure you are well hydrated. That is just so unbelievable! Beautiful pictures though! :)
ReplyDeleteOh That heat must be knocking you around soooo much!
ReplyDeleteYuck...Just too too hot.
We often get your weather so I expect some hot days ahead for us too.
And here I was dreading the 38-40 that we're expecting today in Western Victoria!
ReplyDeleteKeep cool... and keep safe!
I think my eye balls would frizzle in that heat! Love your Aussie Flag in the side bar, Tania. I might do the same. Fingers crossed for no catastrophes today.

Hi Tania the heat this year is just horrible and very early indeed which doesn't make summer look good. I am complaining here that the temperature is going to be 40c for the next week but I am glad I am here and not at your place. Please try and stay cool and drink heaps as those temperatures are not good.
ReplyDeleteTake care
I mentioned yesterdays post to my husband and he pointed to the page he was reading in The Age all about the catastrophic label. Boy.
ReplyDeleteWe planted a tree near our ornamental pond, later I realised I had provided a cooler spot for snakes. I hope it doesn't turn out to be the case.
Hottest November day ever recorded. Wow, at least you won't have to go through that again for awhile, ie next year will be better.
Oh that is too much!
ReplyDeleteI am very worried about bushfire here. Another Community Fire Unit training session tonight, my husband went to his last night.
That is just wrong! 47 degrees! We have four days of 40 forecast and I'm not looking forward to that. We are still in autumn, and to make things worst there is no good rain forcast till next year :(
ReplyDeleteHope your pool is still going well!
Good grief I can not imagine what 114 degrees feels like! We have a lot of humidity here in the summer which makes it feel worse than it is but still...it feel pretty miserable when it gets up to 103 or so. I don't think I have ever seen it over 108 at the absolute highest. I just can not imagine it that hot! Stay safe and I hope you all get a break from the heat soon.
ReplyDeleteIt hs been so hot here, but it was only 44C - I really feel for you, as I know how hot is feels at 47C.
ReplyDeleteStay cool and like us, look forward to the cool change.
Blessings,
Jillian
We relocated about fifteen brown snakes last year, and one of them was in the house yard. :P
ReplyDeleteThis year, we have relocated one, so far.
Our cats stay inside during the hot summer months, as snakebite is a very expensive proposition, and we love our cats.
Blessings,
Jillian
Stay safe Tania.
ReplyDeleteStay cool, and look after yourself.
ReplyDeletehope the change has come for you.........we were 43 today..........2 more bad days then a cool change.........
ReplyDeletehow is it going out there?
