On My Mind - Surgery

Joining with Down to Earth's On My Mind today

This is a Friday photo feature that anyone with a blog can join. To take part, post a photo on your own blog, write a short caption explaining it, and link it back to here by saying you're part of "On my mind". Please write a new post, don't link to an older one. When you've done that, come back and add a comment below, with a link to your blog.

On my mind today is a visit to this hospital next Tuesday

for Day Surgery on my shoulder...

I have been having trouble with a shoulder impingement/frozen shoulder for twelve months now. It is very restrictive so hopefully surgery is going to fix or at least make it a lot better, so I can use it more. I can't lift my arm higher than shoulder level. Apparently this is a common problem. I have tried a cortisone injection which helped a little with the pain but I haven't tried any physio because I am thinking the end result would be the same, and I would still end up with surgery.

  1. Oh good luck!! Last time i had a little cyst to be removed off my shoulder, when i laid down for surgery I thought, oh wow, no children, no phones, i truly rested & actually had a lovely conversation with the theatre nurse who knew my husband through her husband, it was like a catch up for coffee!! You'll be fine & wishing you a speedy recovery, shoulders affect so much more than we realise when they work!! Love Posie

  6. It looks like Tuesday is a good day for surgery, I'm going in to get my sinuses operated on that day too.

Wishing you well with your surgery and a speedy recovery. I hope the result gives you more arm and shoulder mobility. It's so hard when you are restricted with your movement.

    Rest up!

  8. All the best for your day of surgery Tania, and a quick recovery too! Don't be in too much of a hurry though as any kind of surgery zaps your energy and you will need to recuperate wisely. I hope you have a stock of good books and magazines..maybe?

  19. Good luck with the surgery! My hubby has had both shoulders done, one worked a treat, but the other still gives him trouble. I backed your anzac cake and it was a hit! It didnt last long enough for me to take a photo.
