On my mind today is a visit to this hospital next Tuesday
for Day Surgery on my shoulder...
I have been having trouble with a shoulder impingement/frozen shoulder for twelve months now. It is very restrictive so hopefully surgery is going to fix or at least make it a lot better, so I can use it more. I can't lift my arm higher than shoulder level. Apparently this is a common problem. I have tried a cortisone injection which helped a little with the pain but I haven't tried any physio because I am thinking the end result would be the same, and I would still end up with surgery.
Oh good luck!! Last time i had a little cyst to be removed off my shoulder, when i laid down for surgery I thought, oh wow, no children, no phones, i truly rested & actually had a lovely conversation with the theatre nurse who knew my husband through her husband, it was like a catch up for coffee!! You'll be fine & wishing you a speedy recovery, shoulders affect so much more than we realise when they work!! Love Posie
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well for you Tania!
ReplyDeleteShoulder & neck paid in so debilitating and restrictive in your day to day being. I do hope the surgery fixes the problem for you. Take it easy,

Just said a prayer for you. Remind us before you go in, as I'm sure others will be praying also.
ReplyDeleteI hope it all goes well Tania. Will be praying for you on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Tuesday is a good day for surgery, I'm going in to get my sinuses operated on that day too.
ReplyDeleteWishing you well with your surgery and a speedy recovery. I hope the result gives you more arm and shoulder mobility. It's so hard when you are restricted with your movement.
Rest up!
