Recipe

I was given this recipe recently and thought I would share it with you all. This cake is easy to make and tastes delicious.
AMERICAN PUMPKIN CAKE

1 can pumpkin soup
4 eggs
1cup oil
2 cups of sugar
2 cups SR Flour
3 drops vanilla essence
Mix well; pour into large baking tray, sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped walnuts.
Bake in moderate oven 30-35 minutes. Check with skewer and if not ready cook an extra 5-10 minutes or until done.
(I used a 410gm can soup and omitted the walnuts only because I am not fond of them. I also added a little mixed spice).
Enjoy!
Have a truly wonderful day,
Tania

  2. Hi Tania,
I came across your blog via, Little Jenny Wren. I am curious about the pumpkin soup, where exactly do you find it? Would you compare it to our canned pumpkin?
    I enjoyed visiting today!

  3. Hello Kim,

All I know it is Campbells Pumpkin Soup, I would think canned pumpkin is fine to use.
