Saturday

Temperature of 38 degrees celcuis, 100.4 Fahrenheit.
The dirt is back, this is taken out back.
Another

Saltlake and dust, the first fenceline is the border of our block.

Because of the heat and wind we have erected the shade over the vegie patch.

Some geraniums in flower this morning.

This was a large egg (probably a double yolker) we collected from our brood yesterday.

Going to watch the AFL grand final between Geelong and Hawthorn now.
GO HAWKS!!!
Have a great day everybody.

  1. Love the double yolker.

Wow, that is so hot. I am so glad the vegies have their shade cloth.

I wonder how much of the temperature will make it over here, must check.

I watched the game, can't remember them playing much of the club song at the end, then all of a sudden it was tea time.

  3. Love those photos, the second and third. How effective are they? It was hot here in Bendigo, but not as hot as 38. wow that must have been sweltering. Its exciting to have the heat and dust and wind, but I feel for the trees and the leaves are wilting at our place already. The front patch of green that eventuated after loyal bouts of water, has already dried up. This sounds pessamistic, but I think the next thing will be trees blowing over in the wind due to the root system with no anchorage. I love the salt lake photo. Great flowers, and I just love double yokers -arent they the best? Oh and Congratualations on Hawks taking the win. I have to say I was going for the other team. We had the ball we just couldnt put it thru the goals.... Poor Mooney, I was feeling for him.
