Feeling the Love

Twenty Two Years

On 14th May 1991

Copper Rings handcrafted by hubby 

engraved by the jewelers

LOVE!

For this anniversary Hubby went looking for something made of Copper.  This proved to be unsuccessful so he set to and made two copper rings. The idea came from a song written by local singer John O'Dea named "Bit of Copper Pipe", a love song about a ring made from a piece of copper pipe.  Wish I could play it for you but there isn't a clip on YouTube.   I will post another song of John's at the bottom of this post.

I received a lot of love on this special day starting at 9am with a song request on the local ABC Radio. Of course you can guess the song, "Bit of copper pipe" :)

10am A special delivery to my door of the six beautiful roses.

We were meant to go out to lunch, but our plans were waylaid because we had our new solar panels installed (a long story I will tell you about later).

2pm I went to the hairdresser to get a cut.  To my surprise hubby had been in there and prearranged for me to have a good ole pampering. With a new colour and my hair straightened, I came away from there feeling like a new woman :D

I had no idea what hubby was up to.  Have you ever had a lovely surprise that made your day?

My New Gadget

These have probably been around for a while, but are a new discovery for me.

I am loving my new apple slicer...

Makes the task easier that's for sure :)

Cuts the apple in nice neat slices.  Apple chips instead of potato chips :)

I generally don't eat many apples.  But as I am on a health kick I have been eating one a day after my lunchtime wrap.  And if an apple a day keeps the doctor away, I will be a happy little vegemite :D

A New Chapter...

Today is another chapter in life's journey

Our teenage son has landed himself an apprenticeship as an electrician and starts on Monday.  All the years, 28 of them, of running children to kindy, school and TAFE will soon come to an end...How the time flies, one minute they are babies, next minute they are all grown up. So proud of all their achievements

We cant keep these in their pen, they like to roam around and scratch about everywhere.  Probably laying eggs somewhere in the bushes...

Had his 9th birthday yesterday the 1st of May...

This time has gone by so quickly xx

The beautiful birthday cake was made by Blake's "other" Nan pictured above...

 Every second Wednesday, I have the privilege of looking after Sarah's (my eldest) dog Bailey (grand dog) while she is at work.

In the late afternoon he sits in this spot watching and waiting for his mum...sooo cute :)

I have started a new project...a bright coloured blanket perhaps?

Another beautiful sunset to finish the day off yesterday...

Today is windy but warm.  Last night was a little chilly so I think it is time for putting fleecy sheets on the beds.
