From the garden today I picked a quiet a few tomatoes, 2 apple cucumbers, 2 zucchini....
and the apricots are ready, dont know that I am ready for them though!
Anyway they are chopped and cooking on the stove now...
Just a quick post as things are pretty busy around here...
I have been concentrating on getting fit and healthy again so that means less time spent on the computer. I have lost 2 kgs (4.4lbs) in the last week and I am 2 kgs from my healthy weight range. Lots of meal planning, jogging/walking and a variety of other exercises happening at the moment, and I feel great! Exercise is so good for us!
I haven't prepared much for CHRISTmas yet, once again it will be done at the last minute. This year it was decided by all that only the children will receive gifts as it was becoming way to expensive to buy for everybody...
Not long now :)
Well done on the 2 kg loss! I have3 slowed right down at the moment. For some reason I just can't get going with my walking in the mornings! I am awake but just not inclined to get out there. After a .9 loss last week at WW, I gained 100gms this week and in the swcheme of things that could really be the big handful of cherries I ate in the afternoon and the glass of water I had. So I basically stayed the same and that was after going to our Christmas Show on Saturday. I will keep at it!

Those veggies and apricots look good! Congrats on your weight loss. I need to do that just so I can feel better too! I think Christmas will have more meaning with less presents. It is a relief, in that respect, that my kids are older. We try to keep their expenses down by telling them not to buy for each other, (or us) but to pick a pollyanna and just get 1 sibling a gift. love, andrea
ReplyDeleteLovely harvest what do you do with all those apricots?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the weight loss.

ReplyDeleteHi Tania, thanks for joining my followers. I hope that you'll come back to visit my blog when you get a chance and maybe leave a comment. I would love that very much.
ReplyDeleteI've been checking your blog posts and like what I read and saw. I'm afraid that I would be running away from the poisonous snake too.
Congratulations on your weight loss. It's never easy but rewarding when clothes fit better.
Great looking harvest. Here our ground is frozen and we have a dusting of snow on the ground.
I like your idea of paring down gift giving.
Have a Merry Christmas. JB
Our weather has been cool and wet and as a result all my veggies are slow in growing. My apricot tree is covered, however all the fruit is very high up so I will need some help to pick it before the possums find it. I plan to turn it into jam.
ReplyDeleteYour fruit and vegetables look delicious. I'm moving to outback NSW in February so I'm hoping I can grow as good a fruit and vege as you do. At the moment we live in SE South Australia so we get plenty of rain and I grow a beautiful, plentiful vege garden. I'll be very sad to leave it. Oh well, the challenge of growing veges in the outback will be fun.....
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
I love love love apricots. Do you peel them before you cook them?
ReplyDeleteIt's so cold here in AL in the US. It is hard to imagine hot weather at Christmas time.
Ohhh, That's a tad warm. I whinge when it's over 30.
ReplyDeleteOur Apricots are just finishing. So nice. I have cooked and frozen a lot.
